Rice preforms best when it is thoroughly rinsed and soaked in cold water for 20-30 minutes to remove excess starch prior to cooking. Choose any of the following cooking methods and your desired quantity to prepare rice.
Rice Cooker Method:
200g Long Grain Rice. 375ml cold water
1. Place rice in rice cooker and add cold water.
2. Rice cooker will take approximately 15 minutes to cook.
3. Run a fork through the rice to make it fluffy.
The settings are automatic based on volume of the product and water.
Stove Top Absorption Method:
200g Long Grain Rice : 375 ml cold water
1. Place rice in a saucepan and add cold water. Bring to boil. Stir occasionally.
2. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 12-14 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and stand covered for 5-10 minutes and serve.
Stove Top Gentle Boil Method:
200g Long Grain Rice. 6-8 cups cold water
1. Place rice in saucepan and add cold water. Bring to boil. Stir occasionally.
2. Reduce heat and boil gently uncovered for 12-14 minutes.
3. Remove from heat. Drain well and serve.
